The Twilight Serenade

Love,
Here we are on the ridge
Standing side by side
Holding hands between the hay as we watch the sun touch the horizon
And softly lose its space
While the Dragonflies dance to greet the evening
Gradually we compose the melody of our affection
We smile and cry because yesterday is just a memory of our heartbeat
Love,
Crouching on the ground between the reeds
Gazing at you play the guitar and
Listening to the Cicadas play clarinet in the twilight song
We try to play our instrument of love
We smile and cry because today is just the beginning of our happiness
Love,
Laying beneath the sunset sky
Staring at the Nightjars fill the skyline with orange-red confection
And the sky turns into an enchanting scenery
We compose the intro and chorus of our song
We smile and cry because tomorrow commences the future of our dream
Love,
Here we are
Between the thatch under the twilight sky
Kissing your hair through the sunset beams
Hearing the Crickets sing their courtship song
We sing the symphony of our devotion
While the Owl screeches the ballad of the night
And the twilight serenade begins to resound in the silence of the evening
We chant the acoustic in our happiness
Love,
Here between the reeds
Swinging and swaying around the ridge
While the Fireflies sparkle the dark and the twilight starts to fade away
We light the night with our concert and string the darkness with violin
Love,
There is nothing more to say because you are the rhythm of the melody
That has been composed in my heart

Every lyric and every melody have been arranged on our instrument
Every chord has already been played in our orchestra

We smile and cry
Because love is only an empty sentiment without you
You are my stage where I want to perform
You are my guitarist who plays the twilight serenade
And rejuvenates my soul

Love,
Here we are; not one… not two… not three… but four of us
Walking and wandering on the ridge
While listening to our twilight serenade
We wait for the sun to set.
