My Spring Flowers
Mama
I miss you
I miss you so extensively
By the time spring comes,
My heart aches for you
Every time I see flowers, I see you
Every petal, every flower, every bloom,
I hear your voice calling my name
Mama
You look as beautiful as a tulip
You sparkle like a daffodil
You’re brilliant like a crocus
You’re as pure as a snowdrop
Your fragrance is like a hyacinth
Mama
Your love never ends
The flowers flourish under you
I was born through your womb
You were the first one to smile at me
And touched me with your warmth
Gave your whole heart to raise me
Gave everything you have to love me
Your smile is like the “forget me not’” flower
Mama
I was raised to be with you,
But I left you behind to follow my dreams
This path I have chosen is hard for you to understand
Mama
I miss that tenderness of yours
I yearn for your scold
I yearn for your stories
I miss your embraces
I wish you sun on rainy days
I wish you a longevity
May you lead a wholesome life
Mama
Thank you for being my friend
Thank you for your prayers
Thank you for being my mother
I love you with every breath of my life
Mama
You are my everlasting spring flower.
Happy Mother’s Day
